Learning
At Dunton Green, we want every child to develop the knowledge, skills, confidence and curiosity they need to succeed at school and in later life.
We provide a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum that is carefully planned so that children’s learning builds progressively from Reception to Year 6. Reading is at the heart of our curriculum, alongside strong foundations in writing and mathematics and meaningful learning across the full range of subjects.
Our teachers bring learning to life through high-quality teaching, carefully chosen texts, practical experiences, educational visits, visitors, sport, music, creativity and opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. Teaching is adapted so that every child, including those with SEND, can participate successfully and experience challenge and achievement.
The pages below provide more information about our curriculum, Reception and Early Years, reading and phonics, individual subjects, classes and the wider opportunities that help make learning at Dunton Green memorable.
