Head Boy and Head Girl

Each year a Head Boy & Head Girl are appointed from Year 6.  In order to gain the position all candidates submit a letter of application and those who are shortlisted are invited to interview by the Headteacher and are then selected by the whole school.  Every member of the school community - whether staff or pupil have an equal vote, which we use as an opportunity to teach the principles of democracy to our children.

The responsibilities of our Head Boy and Head Girl include representing the school at formal events such as parents meetings, open evenings, the village remembrance service and all local events. 

They also attend regular meetings with the Headteacher to discuss school improvement, show guests around the school and participate in a forum, with local councillors designed to look at how to improve our immediate locality.
